What's new with Stage 1

The 2017 uses a throttle closing feature upon any sort of extended load on the motor usually at the most inconvenient times. We have found a way to release this and create a large amount of low end horsepower and top end power with a fully unlocked throttle at all times. This makes the 2017+ the fastest most powerful S1000R yet!

Here's what you get with Stage 1

  • Full recalculation of the ASC torque control for straight line and cornering performance
  • Per-cylinder fuel tuning designed around aftermarket exhaust systems
  • Remapped throttle angles for increased power through the entire RPM range
  • Better power on all fuels leading to higher trap/lap times in testing
  • Smoother idle speeds and fuelling for full exhaust
  • Fully recalibrated UP and DOWN shifts for faster quick shifter timing (30% faster over Stage 2)
  • Better cooling and engine prevention in staging lanes idling for drag strip or circuit

  • Better power on all fuels
  • Smoother idle speeds and fuelling for full exhaust
  • Fully recalibrated UP and DOWN shifts for faster quick shifter timing
  • Better cooling in staging lanes idling for drag strip or circuit

This independent dyno from our S1000R but will also work with the S1000XR as well. We replaced the stock cam shafts with stock S1000RR cam shafts and our custom tuning. The results are amazing!

BT Moto IAT Relocation Kit

As many of our customers know, our IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Kit for the 10-19 BMW S1000RR has been extremely popular and shows noticeable gains on the street and even dyno. This IAT strategy was first used by Dinan (BMW) in the 1990’s. The kit relocates the Intake Air Temp (IAT) sensor. Moving the sensor from the factory location near the cylinder heads and moving to the front of the bike away from the hot engine provides consistent power production.


What is a Handheld Tuner and what are the benefits of having one?

Thoroughly tested by our own engineers, not just for its function but also durability. We purposefully dropped this thing about 100 times just to make sure if you accidentally dropped it, it would still be a usable device.

So why buy it when you can just send in your ECU for flashing and spend less? Let’s see the breakdown:

  • NO DOWNTIME – No need to send in your ECU or remove it from your bike at all. You order the handheld, it get’s delivered to you, you flash your bike. You never miss a day of riding and no effort removing the ECU.
  • STORE MULTIPLE MAPS – When you send in your ECU, you only get one map. You might be thinking, “why would I need more than one map?”. Storing multiple maps means you’re able to flash for different fuels. If you’re a serious track competitor, we can work with you to get you different mapping for different tracks. If, for example, you add an exhaust to your stock bike, we can email you a file that takes the new exhaust into account with the changes you need to optimize your bike’s new modifications.
  • GO BACK TO STOCK ANYTIME – Not only can you store multiple race maps, you can also flash the original, stock file back into the bike at any time and for any reason.

Can the BT Moto handheld be used for diagnostic checks?
Some models will allow for DTC reading / clearing and maintenance light resets.

How does the BT Moto handheld tuning process work?
Easy, you purchase the handheld, we ship it to you. Use the BT Moto handheld tuner to copy your motorcycles stock file (motorcycle will still run fine after this) then email that to Motobull. BT Moto will then create a file from your stock mapping and we will email it back to you so can upload it to the handheld. Once uploaded you'll be able to flash your motorcycle with the BT Moto handheld tuner.

How do I put my motorcycle back to stock with the BT Moto handheld?
Go to "Work" -> "Writing" -> "Original" in the handheld and then it'll load the original factory stock file to your motorcycle.
